We hope you are getting excited for this year’s race.

With less than 4 days to go here are a few bits of key information you may find useful.


>> We have extended the deadline for online sign ups until 09:00 on Thursday morning. If you have a friend, child, colleague or neighbour it’s not too late to get them registered. We will be taking limited sign ups on the day but these will incur a £5 admin charge.


>> Limited parking is available at the centre and we respectfully request you don’t park over our neighbour’s driveways. Racers who have pre-booked parking will need to give their name to the attendant and they will be permitted entry. Subject to availability parking will be available on the day at a charge of £10 per vehicle and this can be accessed off Dunkirk Road (SO16 6LX). A drop off and pick up point is available in the main centre carpark at SO16 7AY.

>> The race village is located within the athletics track and will open at 7.00 am. Remember you need to have cleared registration 30 minutes before your wave so allow plenty of time. You will need to bring photo ID with you. At registration, you will be issued with your timing chip and race wrist band.

>> Bag drop is available for £2. If you have pre-booked bag drop you will need to show your ID to be issued with your tags. Showers are available so don’t forget to bring a change of clothes.

>> Race waves are released every 15-30 minutes – with over 750 warriors taking part we have tweaked the wave times to ensure you get the best experience around the course and some people have moved forward or backwards by 15 minutes. Double check your emails to see if you’ve been adjusted.

>> Those racers taking part in competitive waves (09:00 – 10:45) are required to attempt every obstacle and stick to the course route. Any racer who fails complete the monkey bars, flying monkeys or the ninja will need to complete a penalty run. We ask all racers to respect our marshals anybody found to be cheating or behaving in a dishonourable fashion will be disqualified.

>> This is a race, you will be timed and for some we know setting the quickest time will be the goal. However, for many the goal will be to complete the course at their own pace with their team mates and all we ask is if you aren’t bothered about time, give way to those who are.

>> Don’t forget to bring some money – we have a selection of refreshments available and you can buy some cool warrior gear including MYZONE belts. We will ensure you are well watered around the course and few snacks are available when you finish, as well as a medal!

>> Winners and prize giving will be at 12:05 on the main stage. Race results are available from the timing tent in the event village.

>> We will have official photographers, videographers and even a drone so remember to smile, tell us how you are feeling and even stop to say hello.


>> Photos and race results – We will be sharing links via Facebook and our website so make sure you have liked our Facebook page @activewarrioruk. Race results will be available via the live link and photos are likely to be shared on Monday 3rd July.

>> Being environmentally conscious, we are not giving out event bags stuffed with leaflets which we know will get binned or live in your boot for a year. Instead all racers will receive a virtual event bag which contains some brilliant offers including an exclusive price to enter Active Warrior 2018 so keep an eye out for it!

>> Competition – We would like you to share your photos, stories, and experiences from the day as well as leave us a review and one week after the race we will pick a few of the best ones and they will get to join the first 100 in next years race!
